Saturday 22 May: A Full Day of Rugby at the Greenyards
Saturday is the main ticketed day of Melrose Sevens 2027, bringing together established competitions and the next generation of rugby talent.
The programme includes the 1883 Centenary Cup, the men's competition named in recognition of the year rugby sevens began in Melrose.
The Breadalbane Doddie Claymore will also return, providing a showcase for women's rugby and another exciting element of the day's competition.

Young players will also have their chance to shine across the weekend, with the U18 Girls' Sevens Tournament taking place on Friday and the U18 Boys' Sevens Tournament joining Saturday's programme. With eight girls' teams and ten boys' teams expected to compete, both tournaments offer an exciting opportunity for emerging talent to experience rugby at the birthplace of sevens.
Participating teams in the senior competitions will be announced as preparations for the tournament continue.
From the opening matches to the closing stages of the competitions, Saturday promises plenty of rugby to enjoy.
More Than Rugby: Make a Day of It
Of course, Melrose Sevens has always been about more than what happens on the pitch.
For many visitors, it's the combination of rugby and the atmosphere around the Greenyards that makes the occasion so memorable. Meeting friends, spending time with family and enjoying everything happening around the ground are all part of the experience.
The Family Food Village will return in 2027, offering a place to enjoy food and spend time together throughout the day.
And when the rugby finishes, there's no need to head straight home.
Saturday evening will feature a refreshed entertainment programme, with a lively party atmosphere in the Fanzone and live band entertainment in the 1883 area for those who prefer a more traditional live music experience.
Both evening entertainment areas are included with Saturday admission, so all Saturday ticket holders can enjoy the celebrations.
Further entertainment details will be announced closer to the event.
